Justin demonstrating a rotating photo display he created

Hi! I'm Justin Leone.

I am a freelance 3D designer and printing specialist. I have been working in 3D modeling and printing for over seven years, and before that, I produced 3D animations for eight years.

Whatever project you have in mind, I can help design, perfect, and print your model.

Location

Leone 3D Printing is based in Philadelphia, PA, but works with clients from all over. Most client communication happens via email, and printed objects are lightweight and easy to ship.

Clients in or near Philadelphia may also choose local pick-up and/or schedule in-person consultations.

The Printer

I use a MakerBot Replicator 2 desktop 3D printer. Here's how it would look if I kept it on a clean, shiny surface and never touched it:

What it Uses

I print with PLA filament. PLA — polylactic acid — is a biodegradeable thermoplastic. It's made from renewable plant materials, such as corn starch.

Most colors are available, including translucent and glow-in-the-dark options. There are even color change options that react either to UV or heat!

What it Can Do

  • Maximum resolution: 0.1 mm (100 microns) per layer
  • Max size for each piece (inches): 11.2 L x 6.0 W x 6.1 H (12.75 in diagonal)
  • Build volume: 410 in3

What it can't do:
The Replicator 2 prints one color at a time, layer by layer. This means it can't print multiple colors in one layer.
